Heart to heart

Bachelorette parties can be the best EVERRRRRR!

I went to one last weekend for a good friend of mine and had a blast. Much of the usual shenanigans we ladies partake in ensued, like cramming as many girls as possible in one hotel room to get ready; pre-gaming on cheap champagne and vodka sodas; cutesy poem reads involving panties; a fancy dinner followed by many, many drinks and dancing your face off.

And nothing caps off a bachelorette party better than a heart to heart with the bride herself! Late night drunk chats are the best. Trying to corral said drunks to leave the bar however... not so much fun haha

But eventually we made it out of the bar and the conversation flowed right on out the door with us on our trek back to the hotel. We only made it as far as the lobby, though, because we were STILL gabbing away... nearly an hour later.

It was all good, though, So, so good in fact. We're nothing if not completely loving drunks and the love was flowing endlessly that night. You see, the thing is, we don't actually get to see each other much what with our busy lives and chaotic schedules and obligations. We don't even text all that much either, but it doesn't matter. No matter the amount of time that passes or distance that is put between us, we always end right where we left off, and it's always a good place when we come back together. That's the kind of friendship we have and it wasn't ever going to change and that night we needed to reassure each other of that. For some reason, we both felt like it was imperative. Some of it may have had to do with the alcohol consumption. Maybe.

We saw the dynamics of our other friendships change; people grow up and move forward with their lives and sometimes that doesn't include you. It happens. Some people grow up and change and stay in our lives, but suddenly your friendship takes on this superficial feel now. Again, it happens, and we talked about it all. How it was then, and now, and how we wanted to stay and be the same as we are now in this moment (except maybe more sober next time) and just everything you talk about when you just want your friend to know - I love you. You're the best ever. You've always been there for me when I really needed it. I'll come running whenever you need me. Oh and lastly, don't ever change. You're perfect.

Yea.

We get a little mushy when we're drunk.
